Quotes: -Quote are valid for 7 calender days. -Quotes are bespoke and are based on a number of details including size, design, delivery ect. -In the event of your date becoming filled by another order prior to your deposit being paid, Cakes by Lucy is not obliged to honour the quotation. -As wedding cakes are often priced for events well into the future, Cakes by Lucy reserves the right to add an increase to the cost of the cake if our costs rise significantly. This will not exceed 10% of the quoted price. Payment: -A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking & reserve your date in my diary. -Deposits are non-refundable. -By paying your deposit you are accepting these terms & conditions. -The final balance payment is due 4 weeks prior to your wedding date. -Where the final payment is late Cakes by Lucy accepts no responsibility should I be unable to purchase any materials needed to complete your cake design as agreed in your order. - Where final paymeent is not made by the due date stated on your invoice Cakes by Lucy has the right to cancel your order and the deposit is forfieted. Alterations: -Wherever possible I will try to accomadate any changes you wish to make to your cake order. Please be aware this may incur additional cost. -No changes can be made with less than 4 weeks prior to delivery/collection. Delivery/Collection: -Delivery and set up can be included in your cake quotation. This will cover time & mileage. -I will liase with your wedding venue prior to dealivery to schedule a delivery time & to ensure all arrangments such as the table/stand will be ready for the cakes arrival. -Should you wish to collect your cake all transport/storage/assembly intructions will be provided prior to collection. I will provide you with address & collection time/date details. Once the cake has been collected the responsibility of its safety lies with the client and Cakes by Lucy is not liable for any damage thereafter. Buttercream Cakes:
 -Buttercream cakes are not as heat stable as a sugarpaste cake therefore Cakes by Lucy does not provide buttercream in the warm summer months (May-August). Fresh Flowers: -The responsibility of the quality & freshness of fresh flowers lies with the clients florist and not Cakes by Lucy. Order Confirmation: -After your consultation once your final design is confirmed, Cakes by Lucy will provide the client with an order confirmation form which will outline all details & the agreed design details. This form is what Cakes by Lucy will work to to create your wedding cake -Please ensure you are happy with all details outlined in this form before confirming with Cakes by Lucy. Allergies: -Nuts/peanuts & products containing nuts/peanuts are not handled in my kitchen however some products used have a may contain/made in a factory warning label on them. -Gluten, dairy & alchohol free cakes can be made upon request. -It is the clients responsibility to advise Cakes by Lucy of any allergy requirements upon booking. -Allergen information will be provided to the venue upon delivery of the cake. -For collections allergen infornation will be on the box. -Please ask if you would like a full list of ingredients. Complaints: -Upon delivery & set up of the cake pictures will be taken to show exactly how Cakes by Lucy left the cake. -Should you have a complaint you must contact Cakes by Lucy within 24 hours & you must have 75% uneaten cake for us to asses the nature of complaint. -Refunds are not issued for customers that have simply changed their mind or if the cake has been damaged out of my care. -We will only deal with the customer/s who originally placed the order. Best Before date: -For freshness and the best quality I recommend: Cakes to be eaten within 3-5 days Cupcakes and cookies to be eaten within 2-3 days Cancellations: -Please notify Cakes by Lucy ASAP should you wish to cancel your order. Deposits are non-refundable. -Cancellation charges are as follows: More than 12 weeks before your date - Deposit.
 12 weeks to 4 weeks before your date - Deposit plus 50% of the remaining cost. Less than 4 weeks before your date - Full amount due. -If you would like to postpone your order please notify Cakes by Lucy ASAP. I will always try to accomatdate your new date however if this is not possible please note your deposit is non refundable. If I can accomadate your new date your deposit will be transferred. -Please note additional cost may be added to move your booking to a new date. -Cakes by Lucy is not liable for any delays/problems owing to but not limited to accidents, incidents, disasters, pandemics, severe weather, illness, injury or death, or any force majeure. -In the rare event Cakes by Lucy has to cancel your order due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances, all monies paid will be refunded within 10 calender days by bank transfer. Cake Stand Hire: -A hire fee & a security deposit is required for the hire of any of my cake stands. I will deliver & set your cake up with the stand. It is then the clients responsibility to return the stand, undamaged, within 7 calcnder days of the wedding. Once returned the stand will be inspected and if undamaged the security deposit will be refunded. If the stand is damaged or not returned then the security deposit will not be refunded. -Please note the hire fee is required for the hire of the stand and is not refundable. The Product: -Please note all products made by Cakes by Lucy are handmade therefore there will be slight variations/differences in appearance. -Cakes by Lucy will not copy another cakes designers work lik for like. Lucy's work is unique to her therefore will never be an exact match. -Cakes by Lucy reserves the right to use photos of your products for advertisment via the website, social media, brochures, competitions ect.
